Always click Save at the bottom of the page in Setup. Changes are not saved until the Save button is clicked.
Because of the large amount of flexibility in the seminars/speakers module, it is recommended that you reach out to your CRM for some additional assistance and training.
1. Seminars
- Must be ON to have the seminar and speaker module operational. OFF if not using this tool.
- Turning this ON will enable the Seminars tab in the main menu, which will allow you to configure Seminars, Speakers, Tracks, Roles, etc.
- If you want to be able to use the seminar module, but do not want users to be able to see them until such time as you want them displayed, you can turn this to ON.
- This allows the client to work on and finalize the sessions and speakers before displaying the details to the public.
- This also allows the reg company, if integrating, to be able to start setting up the API with actual data (but not visible to users).
- By setting this to OFF, attendees will not have the ability to add seminars to their planner.
- Please note, if you are importing seminar registrations from an external source, turning this Off will not affect seminars being added to the attendee's GoExpo registration. This only affects the user's ability to add a seminar via the planner.
- Text to display instead of links when seminar registration is not open. (Example: "Registration coming soon")
- Above item (Registration Active) must be Off
- Name of singular - example, Work Shop, Seminar, Session etc.
- Name of plural - example, Work Shops, Seminars, Sessions etc.
- Text displayed in the main menu to click in order to access seminars

6. Abbreviation of Seminars
- Shortened version for the name of the Seminars program, if applicable.
- Singular general designation for a speaker in the system (e.g. Speaker, Panelist, etc.).
- Plural general designation for a speaker in the system (e.g. Speakers, Panel, etc.).
- If using the Seminars Track tool, this will be the universal name for Tracks in the system.
- By selecting OFF, if applicable, logins are only bypassed when the particular seminar registration is not being handled by GoExpo.
- If a seminar is set so that the External ID rules are such that they will redirect the particular user to a 3rd party registration site, setting this option to On will require the user to first log in to the planner. Otherwise, the user will not be prompted to log in.
- This option can be used to redirect the user to a third party's website, like the registration website, so that the user can pay to add the seminar to their registration. The Seminar External ID is typically a unique ID assigned by the registration company.
- Begins With - Redirect if the Seminar External ID begins with this number/letter sequence
- Ends With - Redirect if the Seminar External ID ends with this number/letter sequence
- Contains - Redirect if the Seminar External ID contains this number/letter anywhere
- Equals - Redirect if the Seminar External ID is exactly this number/letter sequence
- Is Anything - Redirect regardless of Seminar External ID (i.e. always redirect, for every seminar)
- Is Blank - Redirect if the Seminar External ID is blank (i.e. seminar DOES NOT have a Seminar External ID)
- Is Not Blank - Redirect if the Seminar External ID is not blank (i.e. seminar HAS a Seminar External ID; if seminar is blank, the user will not be redirected)
- The URL for the registration company if the above redirect settings are applicable.
- The user's Login ID is appended to the URL when the URL ends with an equal sign (=). For example, http://example.com/login.html?li=
- The URL for show registration. This will become a link adjacent to all of the seminars in the GoExpo seminars list.
- Note: You must enter Text in the following field, Seminar Registration Link Text, in order for this link to work.
- The text used to hyperlink the URL entered in the field above, Seminar Registration Link URL.
- When the user adds a seminar to their planner, a warning message can be displayed before they confirm they would like to add the seminar. The message is entered here. Example: This will only add this seminar to your planner, not register you for this seminar.
- The warning message entered here will only display for seminars which are configured to display the warning.
- To turn on the warning for a specific seminar:
- Navigate to the Edit page for that seminar
- Select Warn from the Access drop-down menu
- Save
16. Search Speakers
- Toggle ON/OFF the user's ability to search the Speakers list for items such as Name, Title, Company, Bio and Keyword.
- Toggle ON/OFF the speaker image thumbnail in the public Speaker List.
19. Registration Code Mappings
