7A - Upgrade Follow
Always click Save at the bottom of the page in Setup - changes are not saved until the Save button is clicked.
1. Exhibitor Upgrades
- If ON, the exhibitor upgrades will be revealed and display the upgrades that have been set up in the system as they pertain to exhibitors, and allow for the use of the payment gateway once set up.
- If OFF, the upgrades will not be displayed.
2. Videos in Product Lists
- The recommended setting is ON, as it allows videos to be seen in the product lists for exhibitors that have uploaded one.
- If OFF, only product images will be displayed in the product lists. Videos will need to be found using the Video Tab in products.
3. Videos on Floor Plan
- If ON, and an exhibitor has a video uploaded, when a user clicks on their booth for more information it will be displayed automatically in the middle of the browser page and begin to play.
- If OFF, the video will not pop up automatically and the user will need to click the Video link in the exhibitor profile.
4. Press Release Auto Approval
- If OFF, press releases must be individually approved by event management before press releases are visible to attendees or the general public. An email is sent to the person in charge of approving the press release with a link to the press release that needs attention so they can view and approve, unapprove or edit.
- If ON, the press release that was uploaded will automatically be approved and included in exhibitor's profile and iframes.
5. Press Release Approval Email
- If Press Release Auto Approval is OFF, you must enter the email address of the person responsible for approving press releases.
6. Press Release HTML
- The HTML that will be displayed to the exhibitor on the upload press release page.
- To Edit the HTML, click the More button.
- This can include text and images about the press release system as well as any help information.
- Default text is: "Your profile page contains links to your press releases and press releases are also found in searchable areas throughout the planner."
7. Press Release Allowed File Extensions
- GoExpo allows the exhibitor to upload files of different types (extension). You can add or remove file extensions.
- NOTE - if using the mobile app and you want the Press Releases passed to the app, you should only allow the PDF extension.
- While other extensions can be used it is recommended that you only use PDF
8. Press Release Help
- This text is displayed to the right of the press release upload field.
- Default text - You can upload any .pdf, .doc, .docx or .rtf file that is under 5 MB.
9. Upgrade Alert Text
- This text is displayed in the dashboard emails and exhibitor dashboard prompting the exhibitor to upgrade and increase their exposure at the event.
10. Sponsor Name (Singular)
- Sponsors (if sponsorships are set in the Upgrades) will be displayed across the bottom of all GoExpo pages and the top of the floor plan (unless the floor plan is set to HTML (see below).
- Enter what you want to call a singular sponsor. (Example: Sponsor, Supporter, etc.)
11. Sponsor Name (Plural)
- Enter what you want to call a plural sponsor. (Example: Sponsors, Supporters, etc.)
12. Sponsorship Name (Singular)
- If Sponsorships are activated, what do you want to call them singularly? (Example: Featured Exhibitor, Supporter, etc.)
13. Sponsorship Name (Plural)
- If Sponsorships are activated what do you want to call them as plural? (Example: Featured Exhibitors, Supporters, etc.)
14. Hide Sponsor Logos from Footer
- If ON and Sponsor Logos are enabled, the sponsors will be hidden from the footer but displayed in iframes and the floor plan.
15. Sponsor Logo Max Width
- You can change the size of the sponsor logos with the Width and Max settings, however the default works best for displaying the logos.
- Note that the logos will rotate among all the logos if you have sold or allowed more than the space provided permits.

17. Allow Description Editing
- By default, GoExpo allows exhibitors to add and edit a company description in their profile. If desired, the exhibitor can be charged to display the description on their profile.
- If on, exhibitors can edit their company description even if they have not paid to have their descriptions displayed on their profiles.
- This is useful for the Keyword search to have maximum affect if you are charging to display the description but the exhibitor has not purchased the description upgrade.
